Digital Beachhead - Cyber Risk Management

If you are in need of a Cyber Security Expert to provide a presentation to C-Level/Senior Executives, or for a Security Conference then Digital Beachhead is the company to turn to.

Company Founding Partner and CEO, Mr. Michael "Mike" Crandall has over 25 years of Information Technology experience.  He has presented to International audiences such as the Security Management Audit Forum in Warsaw, Poland as well as at DoD/NSA conferences and smaller city wide events with his unique briefing entitled "Securing Your Digital Beachhead".  Mr. Crandall is an retired Air Force combat veteran that holds a MBA and maintains the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification and an active/current DoD Secret security clearance.

Mr. Crandall, is a 20 year Air Force (AF) Veteran who is a seasoned, results producing management professional with  military and civilian experience leading a broad range of initiatives in support of business and security objectives.  His proven leadership inspires high productivity levels with histories of success guiding sizeable cross-functional, multinational teams/organizations.   Vast knowledge of Information Technology lead to his USAF Team developing and implementing the “Barrier Reef” cyber security defense in depth concept which was adopted across the DoD in the early 1990's.

He was a key player during the development and implementation of the USAF first ever Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) at Ramstein AB, Germany.   Mr. Crandall was responsible for the consolidation of the entire USAF European Command base's Information Technology under this singular control center.  This NOSC concept was then rolled out to all the USAF Major Commands across the globe.

Mr. Crandall was last assigned to USAF Space Command as Cyber Security lead for the $50 Billion Air Force Space Control Network.  While at this assignment Mr. Crandall was tasked with helping reshape the USAF enlisted Information Technology career fields.  His expertise was vital to the creation of a new "Cyber Force" within the USAF with the development of entirely new career fields, new training criteria and a new work force with a focus specifically on Cyber.

Since retirement, Mr. Crandall has been busy growing Digital Beachhead into a successful company, enjoying time with family, and supporting Veteran causes.  He is also the current Vice President of the Colorado Springs Information Systems Security Association (one of the top five largest chapters in the world)
